log walls is more energy efficient than brick or concrete walls of the same thickness.

Log homes last for generations, and they make for a much healthier living environment than conventional homes using plastic vapor barriers. Log homes built centuries ago in Europe are still standing today and looking fantastic.

Log homes provide better protection against fire than the conventional frame home. The Log
Homes Council (LHC) maintains the position that a 4" log wall can achieve a 1 hour fire
resistance rating. Every two inches can add an estimated 1/2 hour of fire resistance. Log homes
have survived wild fires where neighboring conventional homes have been destroyed.
